Story of Hong Kong is in Our Veins
The story of Hong Kong is deeply intertwined with our journey. In the 1960s, Hong Kong people’s aspiration for home ownership began to take root. Seeing the potential in the renovation and construction materials industry, Mr. Chan Kam Wing, the founder of He Hsin Long Group, seized the opportunity. Starting as a wage earner, he established He Hsin Long Group in 1968 from the ground up, specializing in ceramic tiles and sanitary wares. Since its inception, the principles of RQE PPS—Reasonable Prices, Quality Products, and Excellent Service—have defined He Hsin Long’s business philosophy.
By the 1980s, as the demand for home ownership surged, He Hsin Long Group adapted and thrived with the trend. We expanded by opening several stores in key commercial districts, including Portland Street in Mong Kok and Lockhart Road in Wan Chai. These stores provided a one-stop shopping experience, offering a wide range of ceramic tiles and sanitary wares under one roof. This convenience catered perfectly to the fast-paced lives of Hong Kong residents with renovation needs.
Reasonable Price, Quality Products, and Excellent Service
In response to the continuous rise in Hong Kong’s living standards, He Hsin Long Group began directly importing high-quality European brand-name products in the 1980s, while simultaneously expanding our branch network.
At the same time, we actively sourced cost-effective brands from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia to cater to the diverse needs of our customers. This strategy ensured a variety of product styles that met different preferences and budgets.
In recent years, wood-grained ceramic tiles have become increasingly popular, reflecting the minimalist Nordic-inspired home style that resonates with many in Hong Kong. To meet this growing demand, He Hsin Long Group has introduced premium wood-grained ceramic tiles from renowned manufacturers such as Tuscania, Rondine, and Panaria from Italy, as well as Colorker and Navarti from Spain. These additions provide our customers with a broader selection of products that are not only stylish and diverse but also highly cost-effective.
As He Hsin Long Group celebrates its 50th anniversary, we reflect on five decades of trials and triumphs. We understand that making a living in Hong Kong has never been easy, regardless of the era.
